Edwin 55 Chino Compact Twill – Navy
For those who don’t know Edwin started life as a company that imported American denim into Japan, due to a lack of quality denim in Japan at the time.
This obsession with fine denim actually influenced the name of the brand which is an anagram of the word denim, with the ‘m’ being flipped upside down to resemble a ‘w’.
These days Edwin is a huge player in the worldwide jeans manufacturing business. Edwin is also famed for being one of the only remaining brands in the world that dye their denim with natural indigo. Creating more organic fades, which denim lovers obsess over.
However, it’s not the denim jeans that I am currently loving – recently I got myself a pair of their ED55 Chinos. Turns out they are pretty damn good. Based around their ever-popular ED55 jeans, these are comfy, hard-wearing & have a taper from knee to hem (personally I like this as I like skinny fit jeans).
Featuring a classic five pocket design, I have found these an ideal change from jeans, they feature a button fastened fly and a black patch on the reverse of the waistband completes the look.
