BERGANS OF NORWAY – Park City Jacket
“Outdoor equipment for pioneers throughout a century of adventures” – Pretty impressive leading statement for any brand. Thats exactly what ‘Bergans of Norway’ is driven by.
Founded in 1908, Bergans has played a major role in Norwegian outdoor life for more than a century. It is this experience that has helped them develop this fleece jacket.
We are just past the christmas hoopla & are now left with the knowledge that even the added ‘timber’ we have added over the festive period (far too many chocolates) won’t help too much in the below 0 temperatures which are sure to continue.
Personally I have a Barbour wax jacket for the winter months – and even though it is very very good – combining it with a mid-level fleece means that I am virtually impervious to the cold. My fleece of choice? The Park City Jacket by Bergans.
When I started looking to get myself a mid-layer, Bergans was not a name I had ever heard of, but the jacket seemed to be well priced at around £55, I decided to go for something a bit more unique and order myself one rather than a more common North Face or Patagonia etc.
The jacket is a Lightweight and thin fleece material. Designed to provide added insulation when the temperature drops. It features 2 external front pockets & a one-hand elastic drawstring at hem. Extended back.
